What this site collects, and what it does not.

    On this page

The description tool on the home page

The home page has a tool that lets you describe a dispute in your own words. That text stays in your browser. It is not sent to the firm, not sent to any other service, and not stored. The keywords it matches, the practice areas it surfaces, and how you interact with it are likewise never transmitted or recorded. The site sets no cookies for this tool and writes nothing to browser storage.

What the tool returns is general information about categories of dispute. It is not legal advice, not a case evaluation, and it does not create an attorney-client relationship.

    What the contact form collects

    The Contact page form collects:

    • Your name.
    • Your email address.
    • Your phone number, if you choose to give one. It is optional.
    • The type of matter, chosen from a fixed list.
    • The names of the opposing parties, if you know them. This is optional.
    • Your message.

Please keep your message brief and do not include confidential or sensitive information or documents. Sending a message does not create an attorney-client relationship, does not mean the firm has agreed to represent you, and does not protect any deadline.

Messages are processed and stored by the firm’s website host, Netlify, and delivered to the firm by email. The host screens each message for spam and records standard connection information, such as your IP address and browser type, with it. The firm does not add analytics or tracking to the form.

    Why it is collected

Two purposes only: to check for conflicts of interest, and to respond to your message. Nothing collected through the form is sold, rented, or shared for anyone's marketing, and it is not used to add you to a mailing list. There is no advertising or analytics tracker attached to the form.

    Who can see it

Access is limited to Michael C. Falick and to anyone he specifically authorizes to assist. Messages are also stored with the firm’s website host and email provider as part of delivering them to the firm. The site provides no way to read a submitted message back over the web.

    How long it is kept

Conflict-check requests and contact-form messages may be kept as part of the firm’s conflict-of-interest records. They are kept confidential and used only for that purpose and for responding to you. They are not sold or shared.

You do not have to use the form

Calling 713-659-9559 is the most direct way to reach the firm, and it is the right choice for anything time-sensitive. You can also email, or ask for a phone or Zoom conversation. The form is never required.
