Michael C. Falick
Business litigation · Houston
Mike represents businesses, property owners, lenders, and individuals in contract, real estate, construction, financial-services, and commercial disputes. His work spans the life cycle of a dispute — pre-suit investigation, temporary restraining orders and injunctive relief, discovery and motion practice, settlement negotiations, trial, and appeal — in Texas state and federal court, including matters before the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the Federal Circuit.
Mike has lived in Houston since 1966. He graduated from St. John's School in 1983, earned a business degree from Tulane University's A. B. Freeman School of Business in 1987, and received his J.D. from South Texas College of Law in 1991, where he was recognized for outstanding service to the Board of Advocates. He commenced his legal practice in 1991.
Mike has been active in his community, serving as a School Board Trustee in Spring Branch ISD from 2004–2013, including as the Board's President in 2007–2008 and 2010–2011. Mike and his wife, Julie, both grew up in Spring Branch, where they also raised their children, Avery and Stephen. Mike and Julie now live in the Heights and enjoy spending time in the mountains of Southern Colorado whenever possible.
